I put a lot of thought into trying to see both points of view and sadly the “feminist mentor” is merely choosing words to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt aka FUD!
Really? After listening to a sex ed talk your daughter/son will come home and say I want to marry my girlfriend/boyfriend?
Instantly they are gay/lesbian?
Let’s look at it from another point of view.
You attend a talk that promotes the Apple iPhone, and by the end you want, NEED the iPhone. Understandable.
Replace iPhone with gay or lesbian, now seriously will that turn the average child into one?
Another example.
You attend a talk that promotes the Islam/Buddhism/Christianity, and by the end you want, NEED to convert. Understandable.
Replace Islam/Buddhism/Christian with gay or lesbian, now seriously will that turn the average child into one?
Another example.
You attend a talk that promotes the Hello Kitty dolls, and by the end you want, NEED to buy one. Understandable.
Replace Hello Kitty dolls with gay or lesbian, now seriously will that turn the average child into one?
Seriously! WAKE UP! If the “feminist mentor” thinks she has pulled one over the masses, let’s see.
No school (which offers the talks) has complained that they are now overrun with gay/lesbian students.
No parents have complained that their children are suddenly become gay/lesbian.
Even the gays and lesbians who have spoken out are puzzled by this fiasco.
Lesbianism or homosexuality is not a simple “just add water and mix” situation.
Do the right thing, start your own organization to promote what ever views and beliefs, don’t take over AWARE by underhanded means.
